Common questions about curb painting
- What do the curb colors mean?
- Yellow is the usual no-parking color. Red is used for fire lanes in many towns, though some Connecticut marshals specify yellow. Blue marks accessible parking. We paint to what your town enforces.
- Do painted curbs need prep?
- Yes. Loose paint, dirt and salt residue have to come off or the new coat peels. We brush and blow the curb clean before painting.
- How long before the curbs can be bumped?
- Give them a couple of hours in dry weather. We cone them off until the paint has set.
